Justine Hair Uhlenbrock (she/her) is a registered nurse, sexuality educator, and lifelong learner.

Justine started collecting a list of words a year ago during the pandemic, which she divided into two columns. On one side were the words that represented social and emotional intelligence that she wanted to cultivate, and on the other side, she scribbled ways of being she wanted to let go of.

Once she had over 50 words, the list started feeling important, but she still didn’t know quite how. She began bringing her Moleskine to work and social gatherings, any place where small talk might lead to deeper conversations. These discussions about what feels difficult eventually led to the Some Nerve podcast. Some Nerve is a weekly chat where we discuss hard things that matter.
